The story of our visit
Friday morning, nothing planned, and I find myself standing in front of Bonci's Pizzarium. It was about time.
The supplì was the main draw. Word has it that it's among Rome's finest, and I have to say the word travels for good reason. Crispy as it should be, flavorful, with a filling that holds its own. Maybe — maybe — there's a touch too much going on inside, a bit crowded, but that's a minor detail. The point is, it's good. Really good.
The pizza. It has that crunch, the dough is the kind of thing that drives everyone in Rome crazy, and I get why. Personally, I tend toward other styles, softer perhaps, but this one stands up regardless. It's a matter of taste, not quality.
Five euros and change for the whole thing. Five.
Would I go back? Yes, definitely for the supplì.
