I visited Lievito Francesco Arnesano on two separate occasions and my overall impressions are decidedly positive, so much so that on my last visit I reached complete satisfaction. The place knows how to win you over, and there's something about it that invites you to return. The maritozzo with cream is the dish I had the opportunity to taste on both visits, and I must say that my evaluations have been inconsistent: the first time I was more convinced, while on the second occasion I found it slightly below expectations. A result that is not entirely consistent, then, on this specific product — although it's difficult to establish whether this is an episodic variation or a trend. What clearly emerges, however, is that my overall judgment of the place has grown over time, a sign that the experience in its entirety — the environment, the service, the atmosphere — has been able to more than compensate for some uncertainty in the dish. Lievito Francesco Arnesano remains a place I recommend, with the awareness that the maritozzo, despite being a symbol of the house, can hold some surprises. It's worth giving it a chance.
